Facilities

The club’s Macintosh Chalet was completely destroyed by fire on March 8, 2009.   The club has recently purchased a used school portable and it is now situated on the site of the chalet and it is hoped the hydro will be reconnected by the New Year.  The Chalet was covered by insurance but the proceeds were insufficient to replace the original building.  Longer term plans are to cover the exterior of the school portable with something more fitting with the Mac Mills environment. This may be board and batten, wood siding, cedar, etc.  We also want to put in some more windows (there are 3 currently) and maybe even put a deck overlooking Marsh Pond at some point in the future!

There are two outhouses located on the edge of the parking lot.

Cross Roads Shelter is a lean-to with a wood stove and supply of firewood. It is situated 4 kms. from the entrance to the western trail system. There is a portable toilet in this location.
