Moonlight Skis

Night ski announcements will be posted on the Night Skis Forum on the Forum

  1. Usually three moonlight skis are planned during the season when the moon is full.  These events are for skiers without headlamps.  They meet at Macintosh Mills chalet at  8:00 p.m. on the evening of the moonlight ski.  To confirm that conditions are suitable and that the event will take place it is suggested that you call Alfred Stakenvicius at 613-924-9430 earlier that evening.

  2. The guided moonlight ski will proceed around Walsh Way and Novice Valley, a distance of 2 kms.  Skiers wishing to go a little further continue up Easy Street and return to the chalet down Home Trail. There will be hot cider at the chalet awaiting your return.

A group of expert skiers with headlamps night ski regularly once a week, conditions permitting. They ski Ironwood, Across Trail, up Rainbow Ridge and back to the chalet.  For more information on these night skis email Matt Sakowsky or call him at 613-342-9364.
